Your Conscious and Subconscious Mind
How you use Hypnosis and Self Hypnosis. To manifest your Futures.

As you may have suspected your mind is made up of two parts, you conscious mind and your subconscious mind , also known as your unconscious mind or in huna as your basic self.
These two parts of your mind are different and some of the differences will be explained here, Knowing how your mind work is vital to your success and the experiences you draw in to your life and experience as your realities.
As you know your brain is responsible for your emotions, thoughts, ideas, habits, outlooks, beliefs and how you chose to make some kind of meaning to your experiences in life. You do not experience life , you run every thing through a system of internal filters which change the information you notice. yet you have no idea what those filters are processing, you would clean out the air filter on your car, and if the filter was not getting you what you want in terms of economy and power , you would change it.
What you experience and how you respond in life is based on these programs. Your brain is responsible for your comfort zones, those feeling of familiarity that you choose to move in. A small comfort zone will give you a small drab life. As you constantly move into what is usual to you. and avoid the new. And yet most humans have no idea how to direct control use and play with there minds.
They are just along for the ride, would you do that in a car you were driving?
Just imagine going through a red light at 100 mph and telling the cop who stopped you. “It’s not my fault, the car wanted to do it” “ I can’t control it” “You made me do it” as you step out of the drivers seat. What you be the cops reactions to such a stupid remark?
And yet as a hypnotist who sees clients for hypnosis and NLP I get this excuse every day. May be the nanny society has a part to play, however we do have a personal responsibility for the lives we create through ignorance lack of knowledge or laziness. To some people this is the challenge to except responsibility for there lives.
It is an easy excuse to blame your parents family friends partner etc for your problems however they are your problems and only you can change them.
If you study success, powerful and exquisitely happy people you will quickly notice that they think differently to the rest.
It is just a thought.
Your Conscious Mind The conscious part of your brain has some amazing qualities like deduction, reasoning, logic, short term memory, and a notion of time and space. Most importantly it is the only part of your mind that has the ability to accept or reject information, or idea's you choose to place before it.
Your conscious mind has an ability to use about 17% of your brains capacity and most people use this 17% for the wrong reasons and out comes.
Your goals happen at a conscious leavels of mind you think about what you want and decide to go for it. But your results do not
Then something strange and magical happens, fears anxieties, strange negative voices in your head, feeling in your body...just magically appear. as if by magic. Well they come from the other part of your mind your subconscious or basic self.
Your goals dreams out comes are controlled by that other part of you Achieving goals and out comes happens at you subconscious leavels. That other 83%
You get the idea? It is not rocket science your conscious mind can process about 2000 bits of information per second. Your unconscious mind about 4 billion per second. Were is the real power?
Your Subconscious Unconscious Mind or Basic Self
The Boss
I will use the term basic self from here on in. It is a term we use in Huna. It may be useful for you to now understand how your basic self works and what it can do. And to know that you can master and make friends with your basic self to achieve the things you want to experience in life.
Your basic self is the 83% that you are not normally aware of, some uninformed people will say that we only use 10% of our brain....Bull.
Your basic self controls all of your physical processes, it tracks each blood cell and knows when to replace it, and how to build a new one, all of the chemical changes in your body are monitored changed and controlled by this area of your mind.
Can you just imagine how big a computer you would need just to monitor, control, destroy and rebuild just one blood cell. Now add all of your physiological processes. Yet you carry such a computer between your ears. Think about it.
Your basic self operates 365 days a year 24 hours a day. it has no off switch even when you are asleep and your conscious mind is gone. Who wakes you up to go to the toilet?
Your basic self has been recording everything you have ever experienced. Ok How is that possible well it may be done holography. This allows for such a vast store of knowledge.
There may also be an external hard drive. And an internet we are linked to.
Some of the Rules that the Basic Self Uses.
• Can not tell the difference between the past present or future.
• Has little concept of time.
• Unable to tell the difference between what you imagine and what is real.
• Is controlled by biological emotional programs, past conditionings
• It takes every command or idea at face value
• Does not know the difference between good and bad
• IT TAKES EVERY THING LITERALLY IT CAN NOT JUDGE
May be some of this seams far fetched to you. So let me give you some examples to consider.
• Can not tell the difference between the past present or future.
• Has little concept of time.
• Unable to tell the difference between what you imagine and what is real.
Have you ever sat on your own and thought about the love of your life, and felt a warm glow felt love, or the anticipation of sexual pleasure.
Got excited about going on holiday, looked forward to it with anticipation, and could just not wait to go on holiday. Had a business outcome and daydreamed about it, took action and are now living that dream.
Thought about the new car you wanted or the plasma screen tv, and found a way to have it. When you thought about these things, you experienced feelings in your body. You thought and felt different.
Now look at some other examples. You may sit in an empty room on your own no one else there to make you feel anything, and Daydream about a possible future, about something that has not happened and may not happen.
Lets use the examples of anxiety, fear, worry. And if your run the movies of all the stress and how it will go wrong, the pain and anxiety you will feel. The voices in your head telling you , your no good. How are you going to feel. feeling it start in your body, so you run the movie again and again, and the feelings build. WAKE UP YOU DID IT.
Even though the memories have not happened, and may not happen. And the imaginary feeling are in your imagination a daydream , a fantasy. You feel them now. They are real now.
Your basic self can not tell that they are not real. all she responds to is your impute. The images, voices, feelings you create

How much of what you do are you conscious of? If you drive you regally experience not being there , you sing to the music, or plan the meeting.
And someone or something, works out the speeds and trajectories of all the things around you. The breaking distance, changing gear, lighting a cigaret and having a swig of coke and you are just along for the ride. Does that sound familiar.
This habit has gone on to auto pilot. It’s automatic, you don't even think about it. Yet just look at how complex this behaviour is.
Well most of your life is set up like this. Most people have little control of there emotional responses in there lives. Unless you go in and clear the emotional baggage you are carrying you take it into the next experience.
You know people who say things like “I can’t” “It’s just me” “I’ve always been that way” Well this is past conditioning, learnt behaviours or just laziness.
Play a game. Do you want to learn about how powerful your conditioning is, how much it controls your life, how you have limited your self ..up till now?
Choose something you wanted in the past...eg to be slim and healthy. A millionaire.
Were are you now at in this goal? Ok that is the power of your self limiting beliefs, conditioning that you unwittingly excepted from others at some time . When you were young and your basic self was recording, it recorded every thing. And soaked it in. Your asleep and mum and dad are sitting there isn't she lovely. Yes darling .I would have loved a son. lets have another and try for a boy.
Money does not make you happy, ever heard that one usually said by poor people, and yes that can include poor people who are rich. But have no wealth in there lives.
Your habits are very powerful things, and habits are conditioned and learnt. May be it is time now to change some of your conditioned thinking.
If you want to know what is programmed into you about health and money, just look at your current position in life.
• It takes every command or idea at face value

You have heard to be careful about what you wish for. And many times in your life your fears and anxiety’s have become real. they became self for filled negative outcomes.
You see The Boss you basic self does not know what is good and what is bad, right from wrong. Good from evil these ideas only exist at a conscious leavels. They are not real just a way of looking at something.
Your basic self is monitoring your every thought. If during the day you have 10,000 thoughts about things going wrong and 5 about how you want things to turn out. It naturally thinks you want what you have had most thoughts about. It is not rocket science.
Look at examples in your own life to support this.
Some examples from my life might get you thinking. I was helping my father on a building job, all morning I was telling my wife I did not want to go. How could I get out of it with out letting dad down.
I was driving to my fathers, still thinking that I did not want to.
Suddenly my wife shouts break. Why darling? BANG. I drove into the car in front. I got out of helping my father that day.
One of my clients was sent by a hospital she had had a stroke and her recovery was slower than expected.
During her discoveries she said. “I know why I gave my self a stroke” It was the only way to get mum into an old peoples home, and she is very happy there.
Before my last divorce, My wife and I felt that we needed to learn new things.To have new challenges and opportunities for growth, while we both stayed on the planet. We placed this idea in our basic self's.
And let it run. We forgot about it.
As our divorce was about to begin, (we did not know it at the time) we were both testing out my new plane a little MW5 single seat aircraft. I remember thinking “ God if we get divorced I want to keep this plane and Caro can keep hers” ( I had just bought my wife her own aircraft) As I came in to land things went very strange for me. I crashed, the plane was a wreck I walked away. After the divorce I rebuilt the plane. You get the idea.
By now you have a good idea as to how your mind works, some of the beliefs may seam far out. Well look at your own life and notice is this how you have worked in the past, or present. If you do not like the results you have given your self now is the time to learn how to do it properly.
Almost every one I know is trying to use there 18% to fit against there 83%. They can not win, it’s like a baby fighting against a 14 stone trained fighter. Your conditioned thinking and basic self is thousands of times more powerful than you conscious mind. Time to get smart.
